This page describes exactly how patients are enrolled, what messages they receive, how often, from which phone numbers, and how they may stop messages at any time. It is the verifiable opt-in disclosure referenced in our A2P 10DLC campaign registration with The Campaign Registry (TCR).
Messages are delivered through Twilio, Inc. and originate from the following business-owned numbers registered to Osman Consulting Services, LLC:
Patients are informed of the sending number in the initial message they receive (see Section 5). Replies to either number are routed back to the patient’s assigned therapist within the platform.
TherapistPal Pro implements a programmatic first-contact opt-in pattern. The first time the platform attempts to send any SMS to a given patient mobile number from a given sender number, the system first sends the following disclosure message and waits for it to be queued with the carrier before sending any subsequent content:
This disclosure is logged against the (patient phone, sender phone) pair in a database table SMSOptIns with the Twilio message SID, timestamp, and initiating clinician user ID as the auditable record of subscription. If the patient replies STOP (or any equivalent opt-out keyword — UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, QUIT, REVOKE, OPTOUT, STOPALL), the corresponding opt-in record is immediately flipped to “opted out” and all future sends to that pair are blocked at the application layer before any Twilio API call is made.
Even after a patient phone number has an active opt-in record, SMS reminders are not sent automatically for every scheduled visit. A send is initiated only when the clinician explicitly triggers a reminder on a specific visit. The platform evaluates, on every send attempt:
- Global SMS kill switch — if disabled by the operator, no sends of any kind occur.
- Opt-out state — if the (patient phone, sender phone) pair has ever replied STOP, the send is blocked.
- Opt-in state — if no prior record exists, the automated disclosure is sent first; the content message proceeds back-to-back only if the disclosure was successfully queued with Twilio.
- Content messages (appointment reminders, confirmation requests, schedule changes) cannot reach a patient phone number without that number first receiving the subscription disclosure above.
- Sends to phone numbers that have replied STOP cannot occur — the application layer blocks the send before Twilio is invoked.
- Opt-in records can only be created by the automated first-contact flow described above. No external list, third-party data, web form, or inbound keyword is used to enroll patients.
- Appointment reminder — sent the day before a scheduled visit
- Confirmation request — asks the patient to reply YES to confirm or NO to cancel
- Confirmation acknowledgement — sent in response to the patient’s YES/NO reply
- Schedule change notification — sent when the clinician reschedules or cancels a visit
No promotional, marketing, fundraising, political, or third-party content is ever sent. Messages are limited strictly to the patient’s own scheduled care.
The following are representative of the actual messages a patient may receive. Brackets [ ] indicate variable content populated from the patient’s record at send time.
There is no recurring weekly or monthly cadence independent of scheduled visits. If a patient has no upcoming visits, they receive no messages.
Message and data rates may apply. TherapistPal Pro and the patient’s clinician do not charge the patient for these messages, but the patient’s mobile carrier may bill standard text-message rates depending on the patient’s wireless plan.
Patients may opt out at any time, free of charge, by replying with any of the following keywords to any message they receive from us:
Upon receipt of any opt-out keyword, the patient will receive one final confirmation message and no further messages will be sent from this program. Opt-out is processed automatically by Twilio and is also recorded inside the TherapistPal Pro platform so the patient’s assigned clinician is notified.
Patients may also opt out by emailing info@ceulogic.com or by asking their treating clinician to disable SMS for their record.
Patients may reply with any of the following keywords for assistance:
A patient who previously opted out may re-subscribe by replying START to any prior message thread.
Mobile information — including the patient’s phone number and any SMS opt-in or opt-out status — is collected and used solely to deliver the appointment reminder messages described above. Mobile information is never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing purposes. Information is shared only with our SMS delivery provider (Twilio, Inc.) as strictly necessary to transmit the messages.
Full details of how patient information is handled are described in our Privacy Policy. Use of TherapistPal Pro by clinicians is governed by our Terms of Service and the HIPAA Business Associate Agreement.
